Anyone else unable to access Rapidshare today? I am getting a blank screen, not only for downloads but also for their homepage! I was thinking of going over to them instead of Mediafire, as I'm fed up with their sneaky adverts, sex-oriented material, and forced page re-loading. :-\
I gather from having no replies to my earlier query, that nobody here has used 4Share.
I'm only an occasional Rapidshare user, but I've had no problems loading their home page just now.
It's strange - all attempts to get a Rapidshare webpage cause an automatic change of URL - inserting an 's' into the address. So the usual homepage gets changed to https://rapidshare.com/ and stays blank. I've tried it on two computers, using two different systems, with the same result, one indicating that there is an "error on webpage".
Anyway, it's a nuisance but not directly a UC topic. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that it resolves. ;)
The additional "s", changing the address from "http" to "https" means that it's a site with a secure server which has activated a secure connection with your browser. I suspect from the symptoms that the problem lies with your browser and perhaps you should investigate its settings for establishing such a connection. There should be plenty of help available online. Good luck!
