I caught this by chance on R3 this morning driving back from the gym - a new disc by the estimable Douglas Bostock of a very lush, very romantic, very 'Richard-Strauss-sounding' symphony by Hermann Suter, and also containing a piece of music by a pupil of his (Werner Wehrli). I have placed an order for it already based on what I heard and thought some of you might like to know about it (some of you will of course be a few steps ahead of me here).

Shopping tip: you will find it much cheaper from market place sellers on the river people's web site
I shoould have mentioned, though, that this is of course not a first recording of the Suter. The equally estimable, and more prolific, Adriano has recorded it for the Sterling label

I guess many here will possess the older recording by Adriano on Sterling. Anyone any idea about how the two performances compare?
May I refer you all to the existing thread on this subject?
