This early-ish work by Suchoň (1908-1993) has been revived a couple of times recently, at least twice- a May 2008 performance (scheduled to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth (http://en.sfk.sk/index.php?context=362&p=357)) with members of the Stamic Quartet (this, I suspect, is the one that was broadcast in 2011 and might still be available in "our archives") and more recently at the 2013 Indian Summer in Levoča festival (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--fV1WUB3_A) (movement headings given on YouTube, btw, as
I. Allegro moderato -- II. Allegro molto -- III. Lento -- Allegro risoluto -- Andante sostenuto -- Allegro risoluto ; performers given there.)
Enjoy I hope...
The idiom's certainly late-romantic - a passionate piece indeed.
