Title: Max Planck 1858-1947

Karl Ernst Ludwig Marx Planck, theoretical physicist and Nobel prize winner.  Plank composed some operas, songs and piano music.  I wonder if any one has any information about his compositions

Interesting, I would never even have thought about Planck as a musician, let alone a composer. Apparently he composed an operetta that was performed in 1876, but is now lost.

I'm not finding anything published under his name in the various Hofmeister publications in the 19th and early 20th centuries.  This sentence from his Wikipedia entry does not seem to provide much hope for the survival of his manuscript music scores: "In February 1944 his home in Berlin was completely destroyed by an air raid, annihilating all his scientific records and correspondence."
