A violin concerto and Symphonie Romantique of his were, I think, uploaded here some while back (though since there are three family members of that name- see the thread http://www.unsungcomposers.com/forum/index.php/topic,1788.msg21557.html (http://www.unsungcomposers.com/forum/index.php/topic,1788.msg21557.html) - I'm not positive those latter works (violin concerto, or the symphony), were his rather than his father or uncle's (unless the dates only match his lifetime 1802-71)). Anyhow, on this new recording we have concertos and concertantes for clarinet, some with violin. Could be good.

Ok.....normally I'd be all over this. But listening to the samples, there's soemthing so very....I don't know how to explain it....like the music falls over itself. It just doesn't quite 'gel' with me. This isn't helped by the somewhat harshness of the sound quality.
