I have only today read of the death of the outstanding musicologist Robert Pascall...

He was an outstanding Brahms scholar and contributed much to the re-emergence of Wilhelm Berger as a composer of note. He gave a paper titled 'Berger The Symphonist' at the Wilhelm Berger Conference held in Meiningen in June 2011. He will be greatly missed.

Yes, he was the editor of the "Urtext" edition (around 2006) of the four Brahms Symphonies, he did a great work!
