Post by: eschiss1 on Saturday 06 April 2019, 16:05
New recording of Molique piano trios from MDG available soon (https://www.prestomusic.com/classical/products/8609568--bernhard-molique-piano-trios-op-27-52). Intriguing to me...

Now this is more like it. Molique is definitely worth a listen IMHO.

Well, to be fair, (in my honest opinion... :) ) a fair number of things being released the next two months seem to be, though as usual most of them fall outside our remit etc in one way or the other  - as to the other thread I admit I was feeling gripey. Agreed about the Molique; I must spare some time to give a really good listen to his string quartets soon...

couldn't agree more, he's often a very satisfying early-romantic listen. Various wind concertos have been available for some time, but I've recently been enjoying the string quartets issued by cpo. They're unfailingly lyrical, but tautly constructed and are generally pretty lively.

....and the cover says "Vol. 1", so let's keep our fingers crossed for more to come.
