Title: A Korngold Anniversary
Post by: brendangcarroll on Friday 01 May 2020, 07:27
Dear Members

This month marks the centenary of the world premiere of Korngold's delightful incidental music for Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing and, lockdown notwithstanding, I have written an extended article detailing its history for the Museum of Music History in London.

This is published online, today and the link is below.

It includes a number of rare images and a rare recording from my collection of Korngold himself conducting the overture:

Hope you all like it. Feel free to share!

Stay safe everyone and keep well!

Yes, thank you, Brendan. Very informative, and wonderful to hear Korngold conduct the sparkling overture.
