Title: Birth of the Etude
Post by: 4candles on Wednesday 17 February 2021, 15:52
'Birth of the Etude' – forthcoming from Toccata Next: https://toccataclassics.com/product/birth-of-the-etude/ (https://toccataclassics.com/product/birth-of-the-etude/)

The music on this disk falls into the earliest phases of the Romantic-era as defined in this forum. Nevertheless I feel it's an important release and includes some first recordings. I'm particularly looking forward to hearing the Berger pieces.

Very interesting stuff. I shall be buying this, I think. Thank you for drawing it to our attention. The soundbites are intriguing.

Hats off to the creative team that came up with this idea, and especially to Anna Petrova-Forster for her continuing championship of unsung composers.
