(Coupled with the Brahms VC)
dB Productions released an earlier version of this one movement concerto in 2016. Violinist: Gregory Maytan,
Conductor: Andreas Stoehr, Helsingborg Symohony Orchestra.
The stand out piece in prospect here is Julius Röntgen's concerto - a late piece, I see. A premiere recording, I believe?
The CPO disc of Rontgen's violin concertos with Liza Ferschtmann as soloist features the F# minor concerto.
Thanks, somehow that cpo release had escaped me, something which I've now rectified.
We already have recordings of these concertos, so my precious spending money will go elsewhere. No reflection on the music or the performances!
An old thread, but I thought it best to place here notice of the new recording of this work, played by Cecilia Zilliacus, along with the concerto by her husband, Julius Röntgen. It receives a 4-star review in the current BBC Music magazine.

Hi Colin: I thought it best to move your post to this thread.
Thanks, Alan. I did do a search, but there were just so many responses. Röntgen is obviously one of our major UCs. Apologies for repeating any content.
