Full marks to Daniele Adornetto for tackling these sonatas - BUT - has anyone listened yet to either the youtube posts or the soundbites on JPC? I was initially pleased to note this release, and will probably still buy it but from the evidence so far heard I feel that the performances are definitely not up to the required standard to be issued as commercial recordings. Technically they are rather insecure. especially in the more demanding faster movements. These works require a far more assured treatment than that given here, and the acoustic is also rather below par. Unfortunately, a wasted opportunity that such unsung repertoire does not deserve.

Oh, yes, Martin. I'm no expert but "technically insecure" seems to be spot on!
