Title: Julius Otto Grimm - Scherzo op. 5.2
Post by: britishcomposer on Sunday 27 April 2025, 14:11
Dear members,

I have uploaded two items from a recent Münster concert. I cannot remember when it was broadcast, most likely in March on WDR 3. The Grimm Scherzo was found only recently.
There was also Clara Schumann's late March in E flat for piano which Grimm orchestrated. There has been a student orchestra recording from 1996 which I don't know:

Thanks, Mathias, in particular for uploading Grimm's Scherzo which demonstrates the composer's ability to write thoroughly memorable material. What a shame he didn't write more!
