This composer need no introduction as most of his works are undergoing a revival recently from symphonies, overtures to concertante works, which most of them were recorded. Piano Concerto No.3 is currently the only work left without any modern recordings. The full score is published by Ries and Erler, maybe a recording project is in progress. Without further ado, I have got the manuscript score from RPS Archives, recently digitized as part of Gale Resources, with all other Potter's orchestral works. I passed the score to Darrel for a simulation where I have done partially for piano part in 1st movement. Now it has been re-simulated using Noteperformer5.
1st Movement:
2nd movement is hauntingly beautiful in several places:
3rd movement: Allegro spiritoso (frolic and joy!)
Thanks very much for these. A welcome discovery.
Thanks Mark, I felt this work should gain more spotlight, the orchestral part is just splendid. I am open to suggestions to improve the simulation.
