On the heels of what may have been the first? recording of Smyth's 1899-1901 opera Der Wald, comes a second, from cpo, recorded last year and issued a few weeks ago (https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/cpo/detail/-/art/ethel-smyth-der-wald/hnum/11576889).
The earlier one was in English; this is in the original German. Intriguing.
