Roland Pidoux, cellist of the Via Nova quartet, who participated in a number of recordings of unsung music some (though not all) of which were at least on the border of our concerns (Hahn, Boulanger, Schmitt, Conradin Kreutzer - as cellist; the Quatuor Via Nova recorded among other things Roussel and Magnard's string quartets- the latter in 1987- and chamber music by Pierné in the mid 1970s... among others...) I think, and also was arranger on some as well-- died last Sunday the 21st.
I'm sorry to hear about it. I owed my first experience of Ravel's Piano Trio to a recording that he participated.
