Donizetti was defenitely not an unsung composer, but a large part of his operas are quite unsung--I've seen that his second opera Enrico di Borgogna was performed in this August and broadcasted by the Swedish Radio on September 15th. I'm wondering is there anyone who has recorded it and would like to share here?

My friend and I are preparing to have a try on this sonata, and we need a recording for reference. The only recording I can find is an LP played by Boye Hansen and Dahl-Hansen, but we don't have an LP player. I'm wondering if anybody hear has this or other recordings of this sonata and share with me? (I know it could not go to the Downloads, but could a message to me work? If not, please just delete my post.)

Composers & Music / French Piano Quintets
Sunday 12 August 2012, 05:53
I'm now working on an essay on French piano quintets, and I'll be quite happy to hear any ideas of such works, especially for the unsung masterpieces like Castillon or Florent Schmitt's!

Composers & Music / Bomtempo Piano Concertos
Thursday 19 July 2012, 22:33
Just got two old Portuguese CDs of João Domingos Bomtempo's four piano concertos, composed around 1810 when the composer was living in Paris. I think these concertos are quite good supplement to early 19th Century piano concertos for their lovely melodies and fresh style. It's quite a pity that most of his piano works are still waiting to be recorded.
