I like Koechlin, but for the most part he leaves me wanting more - of something else.

I enjoyed it very much, but I wasn't expecting any heaven-storming. I just hope his solo piano works are recorded at some point. I mean if Osbourne rates a cd release...

Can't find much about this fellow, but I was watching a documentary about "la belle epoque" and a poster for this piece popped up. It has me wondering if an orchestral version exists/existed...

I'll confess to having a bit of a liking for Die Feen; there's an anemic Beethoven/Weber tug of war going on that's entertaining. Then there's the overture to Das Liebsverbot with that castanet...

I would love to see a video of how exactly 6 pianos plus orchestra are coordinated. Seems I recall reading about a Czerny polonaise/piece for 8 pianos...

I love the 79's Ozawa recording of the Gurrelieder. Werner Klemperer's charmingly over the top rendition of "Herr Gänsefuss, Frau Gänsekraut" gets me every time.
