Unsung opera information site request

I have, until about two weeks ago, made ample use of the well-stocked site called 'The Opera Database' (http://theoperadatabase.com) where thousands of operas were listed - useful for finding obscure opera composers and operas. The site seems to have disappeared. Does anybody know what may have happened to them, or recommend other sites, where similar searches could be made?

theoperadatabase.com seems to be working OK now, so maybe it was only temporarily offline.

Well, I am not too impressed with the accuracy of information on The Opera Database. For example, it lists only 2 of Holbrooke's 9 operas, and gets the title of one of them wrong: it cites  "The Enchanted Garden" when (I suppose) "The Enchanter" is meant. "An Enchanted Garden" is the title the composer gave to a set of 3 piano pieces based on music from "The Enchanter". This amateurish imprecision does not fill me with confidence.

It gives me a 'your connection is not secured' error right now.

You can always try The Wayback Machine in cases like this.
https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://theoperadatabase.com/ seems to be fine.

I completely agree, Gareth - huge gaps in what I would have thought would have been very easy to obtain information.

Thank you to all for this useful information. It turns out that on my desktop computer, Firefox has suddenly decided to block The Opera Database, because on my mobile phone there is no problem. I haven't been able to sort out the problem yet. Thank you also for pointing out the shortcomings of the site. However, it still seems to be the most comprehensive site for this type of information.

Yes, there's something on the site's end that Firefox doesn't like, and like I stated, is considered 'insecure'. It happens from time to time and either you have to bypass it, or wait for it to get fixed on their end.
