Christophe Gluck (1714-1787)

I would have sworn that someone previously mentioned the CPO new release of "symphonys" by Gluck.  But a search turned up zilch.

Well, I bought the download version - I guess I was expecting something classical but these pieces must have be written very early because to me they have a very baroque sound.  (Unfortunately, I have no liner notes to clue me in and Wikipedia is no help).

At any rate, I am very disappointed and only happy that I only paid $8 instead of $16.  I'll be curious to hear what others have to say.  Maybe it's just me.
