There's a reference in the new "Gramophone" to a new issue which is on the way in Hyperion's RPC series...music for piano and orchestra (presumably the piano concertos) by Alfred Hill and George Frederick Boyle. Piers Lane is the soloist. The disc will be out next spring. Both concertos can be heard on Youtube in other performances.

This will be well worth acquiring. Boyle's PC meanders a bit, but does so in a most entertaining and often heart-warming way. Lovely stuff.

Can't see anything on Piers Lane's website. May be being stupid. Can someone post a link to the right page? This is exciting news.

I couldn't find anything there either, but this confirms the release:
<<...Awaiting release are two discs of chamber music by Schubert, a concerto by Walter Braunfels, concertos by Alfred Hill and George Boyle, and the Bruch Piano Quintet.>>

By the way: it always helps if references include a link to the website involved...

The June issue of Gramophone (p.61) reported that Piers Lane had made the recording with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra under Johannes Fritzsch.
