These first recordings just added to the Toccata Classics pipeline page. A couple of these works are arrangements, but all are first recordings:

  • Prelude and Fugue for string quartet, P182
  • Prelude in E major for viola and piano, Op. 123
  • Pièces lyriques for string quartet, Op. 139
  • Romanze for viola and piano, P202
  • Concertstück in C sharp minor for viola and piano, P166
  • Concertstück in C sharp minor for viola and orchestra, P167
Moór's unrecorded music has been in Martin Anderson's sights for some time now, so hopefully we will hear more of the composer's music from this label.

Reminds me of a recording I have with 3 works, 2 of which (clarinet sonata and violin sonata) are arrangements of each other. Fortunately there's more on this disk.

The Concertstück in C sharp minor for viola and orchestra, P167 is an arrangement, of course - and not by the composer.

Review of the Moór disc, no longer just a pipeline CD but out since last year. (The reviewer indeed notes: "The orchestration - nice work - feels faithful to the era and is by Andreas Luca Beraldo. It was made in 2020.") The prelude op.123 is also an arrangement not by Moór, as noted early in the review.

I found the contents mildly disappointing, that's all.
