This upcoming CD, due in October, looks interesting to me especially for its inclusion of Henry Schoenefeld's violin sonata in G minor quasi Fantasia, Op.53 (published 1903) which I remember seeing at IMSLP years ago. The disc also has Henry Holden Huss' violin sonata in G minor, Op.19 (1896-1900) and Rossetter Gleason Cole's sonata in D Op. 8 (never heard of him myself- 1866-1952 apparently, bio here, Newberry Library has his papers, sonata published in 1917.)

See also Toccata link. Their notes are a little confusing: the second movement of the Schoenefeld does not go Andante cantabile e espressivo - Andante - Allegretto moderato e tranquillo  , but rather returns to Andante at the end with the Allegretto material in the middle, as one might expect. (And however "joyous" the virtuosic close of his sonata is, it's thoroughly still in G minor- not that they claim otherwise, though for me "joyous" generally tends to imply a change to an at least half-hearted major. And we won't even speak of the end of Stöhr's first sonata ;) :) ... joking ... )
