Recordings & Broadcasts / New Bortkiewicz CDs?
Friday 10 August 2012, 02:13
Did anyone notice or knew of these new Bortkiewicz releases by Somero? I only own No.3, and it's as good as we should expect, being that commercially is the only one containing the Little Wanderer pieces, apart from the Nyíregyházi LP of a while ago.

Does anybody know where I can get a copy of this CD?

Here's an outstanding recording of Tamara for piano 4-hands. I remember I bought this when it first came out, in '96. The Naxos one pales in comparison to this one.

You can still get the original Dante release at cduniverse.

or the new re-issue here

Composers & Music / Mongolian Symphonic Music
Thursday 06 October 2011, 14:06
I found the following site and thought of sharing it here.
The Mongolian Symphonic tab is the one with 11 entries.
I recommend listenig to Choidog's Symphony No1 or Mongolyn Saikhan Oron 1961. There's another entry concerning Gonchiksumla.

Hope you like the site

Composers & Music / Novak - Signorina Gioventu
Sunday 24 July 2011, 21:09
Does anybody know the timings of the tracks of this work in one Movement? The recording of this piece like Nikotina, is in one continuous movement and although the movements or Scenes are named, the timings are lacking. I am waiting for my 2nd (Release) CD of Nikotina to identify the timings, by the way I bought it from jimmosk on ebay.

Thanks.

Anyone owns these recordings of one of my favorite Composers?
I own vol.3 and is thoroughly enjoyable, but can't say anything about the other Volumes, so I look for an expert opinion here.
