Haarklou's piano concerto has been planned for a recording 10 years ago but stalled halfway. Since I've got the score from one of our UC members, I passed to Darrel to make a simulation. Overall, it's not music that pleases you immediately, reminds me of Brahms PC1, surely takes time to digest.. (Apologize it's not a score video yet!)
2nd and 3rd movements are still in progress..

Yes, thanks a lot. Very much looking forward to the other two movements.

I echo Alan's comment. Terrific music - very much my cup of tea. Thank you so much. I look forward to hearing the other movements in due course.

We haven't talked about him for years - not many recordings of his music I think (mostly of vocal and organ works...), though someone uploaded his 4th symphony Op.113 (1920-22) at some point I see (I downloaded it but I'm not sure I've listened yet. Still, I'm intrigued by the scores I've skimmed.)
Thanks!!

Thanks very much for this important update. How we need a commercial recording!

I would like to encourage anyone with an interest in hearing unrecorded piano concertos such as this to support Darrel Hoffman's "Forgotten Piano Concertos" Patreon account (mentioned previously by "promusician").  I joined today. It takes a lot of time and effort to realize these scores and we are very fortunate that someone is making it possible for us to hear this music.  On his Patreon account Darrel lists the many interesting works he has in progress or planned.  Let's encourage him to continue this valuable project.

I am trying to convince a Chinese friend of mine, who is based in Norway to record this work, with an academy student orchestra. She is very impressed in the work and would like to dig further into it. Any updates I will post here

My rendition is complete, and will go public a week from tomorrow.  I'll announce it here when I do.  (I put it up for early release for my patrons last week.)
