[Tapiola]

Due for release on November 6th:

Glad to see a really interesting CPO recording in November (for now). The October ones were quite disappointing.

I remember the Thomas Christian Ensemble playing some of Weigl's quartets with excellent results, so this release should meet the expectations as well.

Neat!

Great to see some love for Bittner. He really deserves more love than he's gotten until recently.

By the way, I thought the October CPO releases rather rewarding: Ginastera's Piano Quintet, Kahn's Piano Quartets, Van Gilse's Kreis des Lebens and Sulamith, and Widor's Walpurgis. It's got me satisfied.

Kahn's Piano Quartets, Van Gilse's Kreis des Lebens and Sulamith, and Widor's Walpurgis

These appeared in September the first. Yes, the Ginastera was the only one that caught my interest because of the Piano Quintet.

Ah, my bad. How time flies.

There's rarely a month without a couple of really interesting cpo releases.
