Would anyone here have a direct contact at CPO records? I have a potential recording project that the label may be interested in and emailing their general address has never been a fruitful undertaking for me.

Thanks in advance.

I think I wrote a letter by post to Burkhard Schmilgun when I first contacted CPO regarding Joseph Holbrooke. They subsequently replied to me through Franz Groborz, a freelance music professional who no longer works for CPO and did not have a CPO email at that time, and Howard Griffiths who made the CDs of Holbrooke's music for CPO. The only time I had direct email contact with CPO was when Franz Groborz could not do the liner notes for the CD of Holbrooke's 3rd Symphony and recommended that I wrote them. Back in 2016, I dealt with Caroline Ranke (Product Manager), whose email was: ranke@cpo.de You could get in touch with her, or, following the logic of the email address, try schmilgun@cpo.de or send a letter to Burkhard Schmilgun at:
cpo – classic production osnabrück
Lübecker Straße 9
49124 Georgsmarienhütte
GERMANY
Or telephone: +49 5401 851-0  (I have spoken to the company by phone also, though never directly to Herr Schmilgun, but they used to be quite approachable),

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

This is extremely helpful, Gareth - many thanks indeed.

Can I gently suggest this is removed? Putting people's personal data up on a publicly available forum is frowned upon these days, to say the least. (The kids call it "doxxing", although this obviously was not posted with malicious intent.)

Ilja

I don't think sharing professional contact details, which are public knowledge because of their very nature, can be considered "doxxing". Were we to mention Ms. Ranke or Mr. Schmilgun's private home address, e-mail address, or telephone number, that would obviously be a very different matter.

Christopher

I work in data protection. It's a gray area. But as I said, it was a gentle suggestion.  If the person who asked for these details has now noted them down, my suggestion would be to remove this thread now.  I would also add that requests of this sort might better be answered via a DM to the person asking.

Christopher, you make a fair point, and I should of course have asked for a DM in my original message.

I have now noted the details I need, so, with thanks again to Gareth, am happy for this thread to be deleted if deemed necessary.
