I have gathered most of the parts and reconstructed some missing ones. Here is a sneak-peek into the opening tutti of the 1st movement. It will be a while before I return to continue this work.

Interesting. This is the only three-movement concerto by Huber, right?

eschiss1

No, the 2nd violin concerto has 3 movements too. As does the first.

Ilja

My bad, I was specifically referring to piano concertos.

I half suspected that – and now you beat me to it, before I could mention what the booklet notes for the CD with Maria Solzobova say about Huber's 2nd Violin Concerto in D-minor. On the CD, the concerto has just one track, duration 18 min 12 sec. It looks as though it is in one movement. Maria Solozobova made the world premiere recording of this never performed concerto in 2017. According to the booklet notes for that release,
Quoteit owes its origin to a reworking of the «Sonate pathétique» for violin and piano from the year 1885. Fifteen years later Huber transformed it into the first movement of his Sonata No. 6 «Appassionata» op. 116 for piano and violin.

And with that, back to Huber's piano concertos...

I had never heard of the CD of this violin concerto until now.  Where can it be obtained, please?

See my post from February this year:

Quote from: Wheesht on Tuesday 24 February 2026, 18:59There was a physical disc. I have my copy in front of me as I type this. It was issued by Tempo Musika, Switzerland and manufactured & distributed by Sony Korea. It may still be available from Maria Solozobova directly (I got mine from her), although on her website there is just a link to an Amazon download.
