Is anyone aware of any analysis that has been done of all works ever performed at the Proms?  Ideally it would be a list I could put into Excel showing:

Work - Composer - Composer nationality - date first performed - other performances - orchestra/soloist/conductor

not offhand. Some of that information may be very hard to obtain indeed, unless by date first performed you mean "date first performed -at the Proms-.  The Proms website has or had a fairly complete list of Proms performances (sorted by composer- as at the link- and otherwise too) covering at least most of their history, I believe, but I may be very mistaken on that point?... (First clicking on a composer link will bring one to a list of performances this year, followed by a link to performances throughout Proms history- how complete it is, I do not know.)

Hi all,
There certainly used to be a complete (or mostly complete) listing of works from the Proms from 1895 onwards.  However, they seem to have removed it!  I checked to see if I could find more information about the composers, aside from the performances from this year, there was nothing aside from "appears in xxx number of concerts").

There is a link from the BBC website that says Proms performance archive however, it cycles you back to the page you just left so it's useless and I suppose you'd have to contact the Proms Team for specific historical details.  Sorry this isn't much help...
Here's a link to the page (for what it's worth): www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/3SsklRvCSPvfHr13wgz6HCJ/proms-performance-archive

The information is still there.  Follow the link provided above. Then click on the composers and works link at lower left.  This brings up an A-Z list of composers.  Select a composer.  On that page you will see a list of the works performed. Click on the bracketed statement "see all works in BBC Proms by .....".  You then click on each work to see the dates of performance.  Clicking on a selected prom will provide the whole programme for that date and the performers.

The information has never been in spreadsheet format.  Anyone interested would have to carry out that task themselves.

Thanks for that preynolds, I obviously didn't dig down far enough!!
