I'm quite sure it did not; should now, though.

Yes!  I've registered.

Let's hope I don't try and listen to that Hiller symphony again, immediately beforehand!!

I will be at Bard for the Gernsheim tomorrow. Very exiting! way back in 2014 the Quebec Symphony played his 2nd Symphony but I missed it. I'm not missing this - it's only a 4 hour drive.

Closer to home - next month the Vermont Philharmonic is playing Carl Czerny's Concerto for Piano Four-Hands.

A (rare? rareish?) performance of Heinrich Kaspar Schmid (1874-1953)'s wind quintet in B-flat, Op.28 (published by Schott in 1921; from the looks of things, thoroughly Romantic. There are YouTube videos about) will be part of a 1 October 2026 concert @ the Vienna Konzerthaus, Mozart Saal.

Emilie Mayer's Faust-Overture Op.46 will be in another Vienna program, also at the Konzerthaus (Großer Saal), on October 18, Vienna Symphony conducted by Riccardo Minasi. (A? The? piano quartet in E-flat major of hers will be played in the Vienna Musikverein Brahms-Saal on 8 December, besides.)

It has been a privilege to hear ,on livestream, Zu einem Drama and the Third Symphony by Gernstein over the past 70 minutes. Thanks again to Ilja who drew my attention to this opportunity.  Now to sleep happily!

I think there's now a separate thread under Recordings and Broadcasts, and glad to hear this though I missed it :)

Schmidt's Das Buch mit sieben Siegeln is being performed in about an hour as I write this, in Tokyo at Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall, conducted by Lorenzo Viotti, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, etc. Also in two months (21 November), Chor and Orchestra St. Michaelis, Jörg Endebrock organ, at Hauptkirche St. Michaelis in Hamburg (with in each case various & sundry ;) soloists...)

Other arguably interesting stuff includes
*Krommer's wind trio in concert on Nov. 14 in Taipei
*Mayer symphony 7 and Zemlinsky Lyric Symphony on 7 December in Vienna (may have mentioned that one already...)

I always go through upcoming performances at Bard for concerts. Now with Leon Botstein out I wonder if this will continue. They are scheduled to play James P. Johnson's Yamecraw later this month and next month the US premier of Ignatz Waghalter's Violin Concerto.

Better news - tomorrow Odyssey Opera Boston is playing Edward MacDowell's tone poem Lamia, Amy Beach's concert aria Jephthah's Daughter, and George W. Chadwick's The Padrone. Tonight the Montreal University Orchestra is playing Le rêve de Cléopâtre by Mel Bonis. Sunday the Montreal Conservatory Orchestra is playing Carl Maria von Weber's, Bassoon Concerto. Next month John Storgårds's first program as Music Director of the NAC Orchestra will have the rarely heard Dvorak 3rd Symphony. If they are not on strike.

2 performances of Korngold's piano quintet upcoming, one on November 6 in Vienna from members of the ORF Symphony, and one in Bonn on January 18 2027 from members of the Beethoven-Academy of Bonn.

Also, I forget, has anyone mentioned this concert by the Balmain Sinfonia, Sydney, New South Wales, upcoming on December 5, which contains Raff's Ein Feste Burg overture?
