Both early Romantic, but probably suitable for this forum.

On 22 July the Orquestra Simfónica Camera Musicae plays in Tarragona with Christoph Schlüren conducting. Soloists are Raquele Magalhães, flute, and Joel Bardolet, violin:

What an adventurous programme! Even Douglas Lilburn gets an outing from the Antipodes.

and the string quartet (even if arranged- hopefully not cut, like some "symphony" arrangements of quartets (I'm looking at you, William Walton's "Sonata for Strings!") are) of Büttner, too. I'm envious. That work looks good in score...

Do not worry, Büttner's quartet was played complete. Christoph Schlüren (who is maybe the greatest expert on Douglas Lilburn in Germany, too) had performed the entire work 2017 with the Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss as a string symphony. The project in Tarragona will result in a recording of the Büttner Quartet in this arrangement.

The Cello Sonata is one of Draeseke's finest pieces. Gloriously lyrical.

Agreed about the Draeseke.

According to Konserthuset there's a fair amount of Stenhammar coming up later this month in honor of his anniversary (1871- 150 years), and at least some of it will probably be streamed as well.

Annual festivals are good to watch for this, when not cancelled by expletive pandemics. The Indian Summer in Levoça festival in the past had a lot of terrific stuff to judge from Youtube, and will be heard from again, exact schedule to be announced I gather, in early October.

Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari oratorio "La Vita Nuova" (quoted and praised in 2016 in the thread "I Gioielli della Madonna") will be performed next  29th October in Torino (Teatro Regio chorus and orchestra plus soloists, conductor D.Renzetti).
